Combine draperies with shutters to soften the look!

Here I combined stationary drapery panels with custom stained shutters to complement this small family room space. The draperies in a soft velvety paisley fabric of oranges, teals, reds and cream complement this otherwise stark family room. I also used a combination of fabrics in the custom pillows to bring in additional color and texture.  The walls were painted a green to complement the fabrics throughout the room. Once a stark room, now a cozy space for the homeowners to enjoy for years to come! Designed by Terry Kral.

Embellish your valances with glass beads!

Valance with bead trimValance with bead trim closeupThis valance design is one of my favorites and is a perfect application for wide expansive windows or to wrap around a bay. I love how it softens the windows. I embellished the design with beaded trim on the hem and used decorative hardware to add some jewelry. These touches take this window treatment from ordinary to extraordinary. See the two photos. Valance design and bathroom accessories give the finishing touch. Designed by Terry Kral.

Open pole swags soften your window

Open pole swags and jabots soften windows and add an elegant touch to a room. This timeless look is the perfect solution for a more formal space offering endless options for fabric selections and hardware choices. While this tone on tone fabric makes up beautiful, so will other patterns such as florals, brocades, some stripes, plaids, and more!

Love woven wood shades but need more privacy too?

Combine a roller shade with a woven wood shade to get the best of both worlds. Shown here are two photos. The first photo shows how a woven wood shade looks without a lining. The openness is very attractive and filters light coming through. The second photo shows a roller shade lowered beneath the roman shade. Each layer operates independently of the other and is a great solution to get both the privacy you need while appreciating the texture of the open weave of a roman shade.Woven wood shadesTwin shade Call us at      518/355-0063 to schedule a complimentary appointment with us to see this wonderful collection from Horizon Window Fashions.
